Applications Open for Glasgow International 2020 Across The City Programme
4 April, 2019–31 May, 2019
Across The City is the strand of Glasgow International festival comprising projects, events and exhibitions generated by open call to Glasgow-based artists, curators and arts organisations.
For 2020, Glasgow International has launched an updated model for the ‘Across the City’ open programme, with improved support for freelancers. Applicants will now apply for defined bands of funding. For the first time, all freelance projects selected for inclusion will receive a minimum seed funding award of £1,500, with further bands being £3,000, £5,000 and a top tier of £10,000, awarded to one or two projects. Whilst these changes are designed to primarily support freelancers, institutions and other organisations with existing support structures such as commercial galleries can also apply and these organisations are also eligible for included without receiving a GI funding award.
Projects will be selected by an invited panel. The deadline for applications is 31 May 2019, for more information including a handbook guide to applying, click the ‘Continue Reading’ button below to be taken to the GI website. For further updates find GI on Facebook, Twitter & Instagram, or sign up to our mailing list.
Please note: Proposals are invited from artists/curators/galleries/institutions based in Glasgow ONLY, unless in exceptional circumstances where it is previously discussed and agreed with the Glasgow International Director.
