Coast: Open Call for a micro-exhibition
1 March, 2019–19 May, 2019
In collaboration with artists David Cass, Joseph Calleja and the estate of Robert Callender, we’re delighted to announce a call for submissions for a micro-exhibition: Coast.
We’re looking for wall-based artworks from a range of practitioners responding to the topic of coastal change. You might focus on flooding, erosion, beach waste, coastal construction or acidification of the sea. Feel free to consider any aspect through painting, print, assemblage, drawing and photography…
Selected entrants will be exhibited in a dedicated room within our Gallery at the same time as our summer exhibition ‘As Coastline is to Ocean’, by Calleja and Cass. Their work is a response to coastal themed works by the late Robert Callender.
Artists around the world are turning to the environment: creating timely, thought provoking pieces in response to climate change. Art has the power to offer direct, visual entry points to the public on this global issue and we’d like you to take part.
Please click on the link for more details and information on how to make a submission.
