Keep Art in Action: support for the visual arts. MSP letter template
Our survey carried out at the height of the Covid-19 outbreak showed that a third of individuals had lost 100% of their income, and 40% of organisations had already lost half their income. SCAN estimates that upwards of £12m of income will be lost by key visual art organisations by March 2021 with many fearing for their immediate and long-term future. In addition we know that thousands of artists will have lost work and income as a result of pandemic.
We urge members to write to their MSP (find your local MSP here) using this template to ask for support to keep the visual art infrastructure alive.
