The Artist in the Gig Economy event
5 October 2018
SCAN was delighted to help support The Artist in the Gig Economy event at Edinburgh College of Art on August 24. This sold out symposium tackled the impact that the gig economy and platforms like air bnb, are having on artists. The symposium heard from artist, sociologists and campaigners. This is part of an ongoing ECA research project Platforming Creativity, conducted by Harry Weeks, Karen Gregory, Kirsten Lloyd, Dave O’Brien and Lauren Wilks.Click below to explore the wonderful documentation prepared for the event by artist Jennie Temple.
