tactile model by Jinyu Han
Exhibitions of visual art normally rely on the power of sight but how might we experience them using other senses? This exhibition showcases the research of Jinyu ‘Eevee’ Han, a PhD student at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design, who has been collaborating with Dundee Sight Support & Social Hub, North East Sensory Services and Dundee Contemporary Arts to create tactile models and audio descriptions for blind and partially sighted visitors. You will be able to experience a range of artworks using these alternative methods of interpretation, and the exhibition also includes some sensory artworks that were created to be touched.
