Take part: Artist-led Collaboration & Networks in the Scottish Highlands

Scottish Contemporary Art Network (SCAN) is a charitable organisation working to stand up for the cultural, social, and economic value of contemporary art – and for the people who create it. We are currently working on a new project supporting a connected contemporary art sector in the Highlands – and we want the voices of artists, curators, organisations and other arts workers to be heard in our research.

To support this new Highlands project SCAN is producing a ‘lay of the land’ public report of contemporary art practice in the region. This will help us to identify nucleuses of activity, bolster networks and support future projects, working towards our aim to help create a stronger and sustainable visual art community in the Highlands.

If you are involved in the contemporary art sector in the Highlands we would appreciate if you could support our work by completing this survey, which should take around five minutes. The information we collate will help us to map existing artist-led and organisational activity in the area, adding depth to existing data and identifying current needs and opportunities for development.

We are hoping to gather as much information as possible, so please do share the survey far and wide within your networks, and complete before the deadline of 10 August.

If you have any questions about the survey, please contact Helen Moore, Deputy Director of SCAN: [email protected]
