#InvestInCulture for a sustainable arts sector
SCAN joins colleagues from across the arts to launch #InvestInCulture, a new campaign highlighting the value of culture as a cornerstone of our everyday life – from economic growth to social wellbeing.
#InvestInCulture calls on the Scottish Government to follow through on their promise of long-term sustainable funding for the arts by increasing sector investment annually by at least £100 million by 2028/29. Scottish arts organisations continue to over deliver on limited resources, but the sector cannot be sustained without this essential increased investment.
Among the organisations joining us are Artlink, Craft Scotland, Culture Counts, Culture and Business, the Scottish Book Trust, the Scottish Music Industry Association, the Federation of Scottish Theatre, Festivals Edinburgh, Publishing Scotland, and Traditional Arts & Culture Scotland. You can support the campaign by sharing the impact that culture has made to your life using the #InvestInCulture hashtag. You can also write to your MSP and share the campaign message. All resources are available on the Culture Counts website here.
