Submission for CTEEA Inquiry into Impact of Covid on The Cultural Sector

Arts funding, Cultural policy, Political responses and submissions - 28 January 2021

Ahead of the 3rd Culture, Tourism, Europe and External Affairs Committee Meeting 2021, SCAN submitted a document to the committee outlining the impacts of Covid-19 on our membership and the wider Visual Arts community in Scotland. This evidence was presented to the committee on the 28th of January by SCAN’s Director Moira Jeffrey, alongside contributions from Lucy Mason, Interim Chief Executive Officer, Federation of Scottish Theatre, Bill Armstrong, Scotland Chair, Writers Guild of Great Britain and Lynda Graham, President of the Scottish Artists’ Union.

The document, containing a case study contributed by Dundee Contemporary Arts on the impact of Covid-19 on their organisation is available to download below. The Official Report of this meeting is due for publication by 6pm on Tuesday 2 February 2021 on the Scottish Government’s website.
