Book: SCAN Visa Application Support Sessions

SCAN is delighted to present a series of sessions designed to support artists applying for visas in Scotland. Led by artists Christian Noelle Charles and Erika Silverman, the series includes two online advice sessions and an in-person workshop in Glasgow.

SCAN ONLINE VISA INFORMATION SESSIONS
10am–12pm and 1–2:30pm, Tuesday 23 June 2026
Online via Zoom

These two sessions will cover the general legal requirements when applying for visas and the regular pitfalls to be aware of. Both artists and organisations are invited and encouraged to sit in on both sessions if interested to learn and better understand the system.

Session one: 10am–12pm
This will cater to artist applicants focusing primarily on the Global Talent and Tier 5: Creative Worker Visa. This session will give applicants the confidence to apply themselves while giving organisations insight into ways to support.

Session two: 1–2:30pm
This will support organisations that sponsor artists or are interested in sponsoring. This is a great opportunity to network with other creative organisations and offer peer-led support.

Both sessions are free, and booking is essential – book via Zeffy here.

SCAN GLOBAL TALENT VISA PORTFOLIO WORKSHOP
10am–4pm, Wednesday 1 July 2026

Hosted by Christian Noelle Charles, Erika Silverman, and Shalmali Shetty, this workshop provides expert guidance on how to curate, structure, and present your creative evidence, to build an effective, compelling application portfolio.
