Artists Make a Better World: SCAN member meet-ups
Artists’ voices are central to our 2023 campaign, Artists Make A Better World, which aims to raise awareness of the contribution that artists make to Scotland’s wellbeing.
With this in mind, we’ve organised a number of meet-ups across Scotland during August, which will be hosted by SCAN’s Membership Lead Helen Moore in partnership with representatives of our member organisations. This is a chance to hear more about the campaign and find out how to lend your voices to this crucial advocacy work. There will also be a chance to catch up with fellow artists and arts professionals, and to screenprint your very own campaign poster.
The dates are as follows – click the links to book your free place:
- Thursday 10 August at Gracefield Arts Centre in Dumfries with Amy Marletta, Creative Director of Upland
- Thursday 17 August at Soulisquoy Printmakers in Stromness with Carol Dunbar from Soulisquoy/Pier Arts Centre
- Tuesday 22 August at Sierra Metro in Edinburgh with Janine Matheson from Sierra Metro and Ellie Morag from Soapbox Creatives
- Thursday 21 September at Dundee Contemporary Arts with Marion Ferguson and Scott Hudson from DCA Print Studio
The meet-ups are geared towards SCAN members, but all artists, art students and professionals working in the arts and culture sector are welcome. You can find out how to become a SCAN member from £24 per year here.
