A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen at Platform, as we recruit for an Arts Manager to join and lead our team.
The role is at the beating heart of our organisation and we seek an experienced, enthusiastic and forward-thinking individual to deliver, develop and refresh our strategic plan as we move onto a new chapter.
Proud to be part of Glasgow’s thriving east end, Platform offers a vibrant multi-art performance, visual art and music programme, and an active community engagement and outreach programme across Easterhouse and beyond.
Operated by Glasgow East Arts Company (GEAC), Platform is a strategic partner at The Bridge which launched in 2006 as an aspirational facility for arts, leisure and learning comprising Glasgow Kelvin College, Glasgow Life’s swimming pool and library. GEAC Trading operates the Café Bar at The Bridge.
JOB PURPOSE
To lead GEAC in the delivery and development and refresh of the company’s strategic plan, Engaging People Inspiring Communities, ensuring the arts are at the heart of the charity.
To support and advise the board on governance, finance, staff matters and all programme activity.
To lead an effective engagement plan that supports local people to access GEAC’s work both in and out with the venue.
To be well networked with overall responsibility for the artistic programme and to support artists to develop, make and share work
To oversee The Bridge Café Bar run through GEAC’s subsidiary trading company, GEAC Trading Limited
