Be part of our 197th RSA Annual Exhibition!

The RSA Annual Exhibition is the largest and longest-running annual exhibition of contemporary art and architecture in Scotland. The focal point of our year-round exhibition programme since 1826, the exhibition showcases work from our Royal Scottish Academicians alongside artists and architects carefully selected from online open submissions. The Open Architecture element aims to highlight the most interesting and engaging architectural projects across Scotland and beyond.

The exhibition will be open from 6 May – 11 June 2023. Once again we are welcoming submissions from architects at all stages of their careers to submit work for consideration online now at

Architects may submit up to TWO works of any size in any suitable medium – including drawings, schematics, digital imagery, photography, models, video work etc.

Entry is £30 per work (student and under 26s £10) plus £10 hanging fee if selected.

Key Dates

Pre-Selection announced: Friday 24 March 2023, from midday

Hand-in of works Thursday: 20 – Saturday 22 April 2023, 10am-4.30pm

Final selection announced: Wednesday 26 April 2023, from midday

Opening event: Friday 5 May 2023, evening (time TBC – invite only)

Exhibition open to public: Saturday 6 May – Sun 11 June 2023 (Mon to Sat 10am – 5pm, Sun 12 – 5pm)

Collection of unsold work: Thursday 15 – Saturday 17 June 2023, 10am – 4.30pm
