Jupiter Artland’s ground-breaking learning programme is at the heart of everything we do. With a mission is to engage with EVERY CHILD IN SCOTLAND, we host free learning visits to the artland all-year round, as well as term-time courses for young people to explore their creativity and ignite a life-long passion for art and nature. We are expanding our Freelance Learning Team and we have regular opportunities for artist-educators and freelance educators in the following areas, as well as ad-hoc opportunities throughout the year:
• Community Learning Programmes: Mondays
• Schools & Colleges Learning Programmes: Wednesday and Thursdays
• Woodland Art Sparks (term-time courses): Tuesday and Fridays
Jupiter Artland is home to one of Scotland’s most significant collections of site-responsive sculpture, with artworks by Phyllida Barlow, Joana Vasconcelos, Antony Gormley, Anish Kapoor, Andy Goldsworthy, Ian Hamilton Finlay, Rachel Maclean, Cornelia Parker, Tania Kovats and Tracey Emin. Our Learning Programmes are inspired by these artworks and the nature surrounding them. Using a blend of approaches, ranging from Forest School to Montessori, and combining a love of contemporary art practice, our aim is for every young person in Scotland to experience the well-being benefits of art in nature, and to discover within themselves their own creative potential.
