Fully Funded Artist Residency Opportunity – Marchmont House
Closing date 15 December 2022
Marchmont House and Marchmont Makers Foundation are delighted to launch our first Skyboat Residency for 2023, which is made possible thanks to a generous donation by artist and friend of Marchmont, Charlie Poulsen.
We will actually be offering two Skyboat Residency opportunities in 2023 – one in March and one in September. The chosen artist will spend a month at Marchmont Studios, using the Old Squash Court space and will be given nearby estate accommodation.
The residency is fully-funded by the Marchmont Makers Foundation.
The Skyboat Residency for Spring 2023 at Marchmont is looking to select someone who either wishes to push the boundaries of drawing in any way they think appropriate or someone who wants to pursue drawing in a more ‘traditional’ way.
Applications should be sent by email (application form linked here) to Lucy Brown, MD of the foundation: [email protected] explaining in no more than 500 words what this opportunity would provide, the work you wish to pursue and why Marchmont is an ideal place to start that. Applications have personal details redacted before being reviewed by our panel.
The closing date is Thursday 15th December at 5pm, and the successful applicant will be notified by 19th January.
