Gallery Technician

Talbot Rice Gallery is seeking a Gallery Technician to join our team – bringing specialist technical knowledge and skills to facilitate the delivery of TRG’s exhibition programme. Candidates must have minimum 5 years experience of relevant technical work; sound broad knowledge of exhibition making and art handling; up to date knowledge of best practice and emerging trends in AV technologies; ability to provide comprehensive documents in planning, design and budgeting; excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to thrive in a sometimes highly pressured environment.
Your skills and attributes for success:
EITHER Vocational qualifications (N/SVQ 2/3, ONC or equivalent) and work experience in a relevant role OR School education to standard grade or equivalent and relevant work experience.
Working knowledge and experience of relevant technical processes and equipment.
Ability to plan own workload.
Ability to communicate effectively in person and using a variety of digital tools.
Excellent time management skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team under minimal supervision.
Experience working in a busy arts-based environment.
