Lead Artist/Creative Practitioner: Rural Connections

The aim of this role is to connect with people who experience rural isolation in Fife. They will undertake research, conversation, & evaluation alongside a programme of socially engaged activities.
A new position at Forgan Arts Centre in North-East Fife suitable for an artist, creative practitioner, researcher, producer, programmer, or someone working in community engagement.

Fee: £8,000 We estimate this work to be between 25-30 days.
Hours: We expect this to be 1-3 days per week. This role may include evening/weekend working.
Period: This is a fixed term freelance role. This work will take place between February-April 2023.
Location: Forgan Arts Centre is in Newport-on-Tay, North-East Fife.
Budget: There is a budget of £3,500 to deliver this project.
The successful candidate will identify and trial new approaches, through art and creativity, to partnership and relationship building, responding to the needs of people experiencing rural isolation. This work will inform centre policy and programming with respect to the needs of rural communities.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the administration, design, management, and evaluation of this project, with support from Forgan Arts Centre staff.
This role is funded by Inspiring Scotland by the Scottish Government Rural and Island Communities Idea into Action Fund.
