Open Call: Independent Residencies

Independent Residencies take place in our new, custom-designed accommodation and workspace in Huntly. They are aimed at artists and creative practitioners with their own funding, who are looking for time, space and support to carry out research and development work. Residencies run throughout the year for 1 week up to three months.
Deadline: rolling – there is currently availability between 1 November 2023 – 28 April 2024
Fees: £400 per week (Mon-Sun) or £150 per weekend (Fri – Sun)
Duration: 1 week – 3 months

Deveron Projects has been hosting artist’s residencies for 28 years. In 2019 we purchased a historic building on the town square, refurbishing it to create custom-designed artists’ accommodation and workspace. The site also includes Square Deal – our community hub, and a public garden. We are delighted to open our new live-work space, to host artists from all over the world for Independent Residencies, alongside our curated artistic programme.
Residencies are self-directed and offer access to Deveron Projects’ facilities. Our team are available to support the research and work of residents through informal conversations and studio visits.
We welcome artists from all disciplines, including visual art, academia, craft, music, tech, literature, design, performance, community organising, and those working across disciplines and sectors. Please get in touch for more information ([email protected] /01466 794 494).
