Alice Prentice is the creative force behind Isle of Riso, an innovative print and design studio based in Inverness. After graduating with a BDes Hons Illustration from DJCAD in 2020, Alice’s passion for Risograph printing led her to establish Isle of Riso in March 2021. Her mission is clear: to champion the art of Risograph printing in the North of Scotland while fostering collaboration, education, and accessibility within the local creative community.
Alice’s artistic vision is deeply rooted in her connection to nature and Scottish Highland culture. Her own designs resonate with authenticity and reverence for the natural environment surrounding her. She mostly makes Risograph prints, zines and occasionally stationary inspired by native beasts, wild landscapes, and Scottish heritage.
At Isle of Riso, they offer a diverse range of services encompassing Risograph printing, design, and illustration. The studio serves as a hub for artistic expression, providing a platform for local creatives and businesses to bring their ideas to life sustainably and affordably.
