About
Visual artist Anne Robinson instigated The Charmers project composed the songs and film pieces, and takes lead vocals on ‘Ballad in Transfigured Time’ and ‘Swift Song’. Her experimental practice is concerned with the politics and perception of time passing – working with film, drawing, painting, sound and curation, including Supernormal Festival. Her work with See Red collective and as an experimental filmmaker recently featured in ‘Women in Revolt!’ At Tate Britain, National Galleries, Scotland and the BFI. Recent works include ‘Wakeful’ (2028) which features renowned percussionist Limpe Fuchs on soundtrack and ‘The Hurrier’ (2021) for which Anne wrote a sci-fi folk ballad and collaborated during lockdowns with sound artists and makers Lou Barnell and Charlotte Squire. She holds a practice-led PhD in Fine Art and has taught Fine Art and Film for many years in H.E.
