About
Govanhill Baths Community Trust (GBCT) is a grassroots organisation with a unique history of working collectively to inspire social change. The Trust was established in December 2004 from the Save Our Pool campaign, following the occupation of the Govanhill Baths building in 2001. The anticipated re-opening of the building as a Wellbeing Centre is due to take place in Summer 2022 following major capital redevelopment.
Art and creativity remain at the heart of our approach. We deliver ambitious, inclusive creative activities, events and exhibitions in partnership with local, national and international organisations, that align with the aspirations of our community.
GBCT is currently working from a number of arts spaces including The Deep End studios and workshop space, Govanhill Baths Ceramics and the arts-based Govanhill Youth Club.
