Job title

Producer & Curator

I am a Scottish independent Curator and Producer, living in Glasgow on the west coast of Scotland. With a background in contemporary philosophy, I have a passion for developing expanded forms of feminist artist and curatorial practices. For the past 10 years I’ve developed my curatorial practice within artist-run and not for profit gallery spaces, whilst working on projects for arts organisations and international arts festivals such as; Cooper Gallery in Dundee and Glasgow International Festival of Contemporary Art. As a producer and project manager, I have worked closely with artists on major commissions for prominent national and international art institutions, museums and galleries.

I love working closely with and learning from incredible artists from all over Scotland. Together we have been setting forward the conditions required for an independent, feminist curatorial practice to thrive. I’m interested in curating with and through methods of unfolding, embracing the intimate lived experience as a place to learn from and share our lived experiences with others. Exploring ideas using practices of care and understanding carelessness, whilst finding a political voice in the uncanny moments, in life and our everyday encounters.

Upcoming exhibition and project:  Galalith, the first solo exhibition in Ireland by artist Lauren Gault. Temple Bar Gallery and Studios, Dublin,19th May- 2nd July 2020.
