SCAN Equalities, Diversity and Inclusion Report

The purpose of this report is to summarise easily available data on the demographics of the Scottish visual art workforce and audiences, with a focus on protected characteristics (including socio-economic deprivation).
This factual report highlights the data available on these demographics, the gaps in information that we require to provide an accurate and representative overview of the sector’s demographics, and the barriers which hinder marginalised communities’ opportunities to access the Scottish visual arts. This report forms part of the Scottish Contemporary Art Network’s internal equalities strategy.
