About
Anne Renahan is a PhD candidate in the School of Art History, University of St Andrews. She is exploring the representation of modern and contemporary island landscape in Orkney, Shetland, Faroe Islands, Iceland and Greenland in relation to women and marginalised artists, periphery-centre dynamics and notions of the ‘more than human’. Anne runs her own publishing house, and is a consultant and editor for Rizzoli (NY and Milan), specialising in books predominantly related to the art, architecture and design of south-east and east Asia, as well as selected European titles. She has worked as a journalist in the Middle East and Czech Republic, editor for the United Nations in Beirut, Lebanon; and as managing editor of Bloomsbury’s former Doha, Qatar office.
