About

5 years touring Scotland’s mainland and islands as Curator/Driver of the Scottish Arts Council’s Travelling Gallery introduced me to a multitude of communities, environments and the challenges and rewards of engaging audiences. This informed my approach to working with a small, flexible and talented team in Fife, as Director of the Crawford Arts Centre in St Andrews. This morphed into Fife Contemporary, working free of a venue across Fife through varied partnerships to deliver programmes supporting artists and the public. Both craft and visual art were featured with a particular interest in the dialogue between media. Exploring our relationship with, and valuing the natural environment was another ongoing theme.
Retiring in 2022 from an unusually lengthy tenure within the sector I am now sorting an archive, working with a couple of Fife visual art and craft organisations and still excited to keep in touch with developments.
